Explore NYC

We are so grateful you’re making the trip to celebrate with us! If you have any free time before or after the wedding, here are a few of our local favorites.

  • Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge - Michael & Kathryn did this for the first time a few years ago!

  • Grab a sandwich at Sorriso Italian Salumeria in Astoria….they know Michael by name…

  • The view from atop Arlo Williamsburg (one of our wedding hotels) is even better with a cocktail in hand. Open from 6pm, sunsets at the Watertower Bar give way to night’s dazzling lights across Brooklyn and NYC.

  • A nanobrewery located in Ridgewood, Queens with a satellite taproom in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Note: this is DEEP Queens. You’ll need a car or will be on the L to basically Bushwick (you have been warned), but the vibes are good. You have been warned. If anyone is driving in from Long Island and want to grab us a few sours, we’d be grateful.

  • If you have time to explore the city, the Whitney, where Michael and Kathryn had one of their first dates, is a great jumping-off point for a stroll on the High Line or doing some nearby shopping.

  • The Upper West Side location is the site of “the” Eggs Benny, though Sarabeth’s has locations throughout Manhattan. (P.S. Kathryn also recommends the quiche and the popovers!)
